HCC: Generalized Hierarchical Completely-Connected Networks
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper, a new network structure called generalized Hierarchical Completely-Connected networks (HCCs) is proposed, and its properties and features are evaluated. Simple routing strategies for HCCs are also developed for shortest-paths routing algorithms. A set of HCCs constructed by the proposed method includes some conventional hierarchical networks, then it is called generalized one. The construction of an HCC starts from a basic block (a level-1 block) which consists of n nodes of constant degree. Then a level-h block for h ≥ 2 is constructed recursively by interconnecting any pair of macro nodes (n level-(h−1) blocks) completely. An HCC has a constant node-degree regardless of an increase in its size (the number of nodes). Furthermore, since an HCC has a hierarchically structured topology and the feature of uniformity, a wide variety of inter-cluster connections is possible. Evaluation results show that an HCC is suitable for very large computer systems. key words: interconnection networks, generalized network, hierarchical network, completely-connected network, routing strategy

A class of hierarchical graphs as topologies for interconnection networks
We study some topological and algorithmic properties of a recently defined hierarchical interconnection network, the hierarchical crossed cube HCC(k, n), which draws upon constructions used within the well-known hypercube and also the crossed cube. In particular, we study: the construction of shortest paths between arbitrary vertices in HCC(k, n); the connectivity of HCC(k, n); and one-to-all b...
متن کاملTheory of Dependent Hierarchical Normalized Random Measures
This paper presents theory for Normalized Random Measures (NRMs), Normalized Generalized Gammas (NGGs), a particular kind of NRM, and Dependent Hierarchical NRMs which allow networks of dependent NRMs to be analysed. These have been used, for instance, for time-dependent topic modelling. In this paper, we first introduce some mathematical background of completely random measures (CRMs) and thei...
متن کاملMultilayer VLSI Layout for Interconnection Networks
Current VLSI technology allows more than two wiring layers and the number is expected to rise in future. In this paper, we show that, by designing VLSI layouts directly for an L-layer model, the layout area for a variety of networks can be reduced by a factor of about L 2 2 compared to the layout area required under a 2-layer model, and the volume and maximum wire length can be reduced by a fac...
متن کاملEfficient VLSI Layouts of Hypercubic Networks
In this paper, we present efficient VLSI layouts of several hypercubic networks. We show that an N-node hypercube and an N-node cube-connected cycles (CCC) graph can be laid out in 4N2=9 + o(N2) and 4N2=(9log22 N) + o(N2= log2 N) areas, respectively, both of which are optimal within a factor of 1:7̄+ o(1). We introduce the multilayer grid model, and present efficient layouts of hypercubes that u...
متن کاملConnected and Hyperconnected Generalized Topological Spaces
A. Csaszar introduced and extensively studied the notion of generalized open sets. Following Csazar, we introduce a new notion hyperconnected. We study some specic properties about connected and hyperconnected in generalized topological spaces. Finally, we characterize the connected component in generalized topological spaces.
